Students in the Teaching & Learning 3/4 class started their Teaching & Learning Career Internships today at La Mesa Arts Academy (LMAAC), La Mesa Dale Elementary & Helix High School.

We'd like to take a moment to highlight Dr. Kristina Mitchel, Chemistry and Biotechnology teacher at Helix Charter High School, for her involvement in the Amgen Biotech Experience-San Diego, Illumina, Inc.'s Genomic Discoveries (IGD), and soon LSXP ScienceBridge Internship programs. Dr. Mitchel is excited to be building a new biotech program at Helix Charter High School. The best way to learn science is by doing science and she is very appreciative of programs like ABE and IGD that get the science into students' hands. Thank you, Dr. Mitchel, for inspiring and teaching students at Helix High.
