We want students to leave Terra Nova with a better understanding of God’s world and the tools to serve Him faithfully in every season of life.

Only students with Christ as their foundation will be positioned to grow in true wisdom, virtue, and eternal influence.

A school is only as strong as the men and women shaping its students each day.

At The Terra Nova School, our desire is not simply to place information before children, but to surround them with teachers who love the Lord Jesus, model godly character, and faithfully point their students toward truth.

We are grateful for the teachers who labor each day to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a love for Christ in the hearts of our students.

“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.” — Hebrews 13:7

At The Terra Nova School, our aim is not merely to fill minds with information, but to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and a love for Christ. We want students who can think clearly, speak truthfully, and recognize beauty in God’s world because they have been grounded in His truth.

Our prayer is that they would not simply know what they believe, but why they believe it—and learn to love that which is true, good, and beautiful.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

As the staff at The Terra Nova School, we will miss the daily joys that fill these halls far beyond academics alone. We will miss hearing their prayers, their thoughtful questions, their sudden “aha” moments when truth clicks, their singing echoing through the classrooms, their laughter between lessons, and the many small conversations that remind us these students are not just being educated, but shaped.

One student wrote in her booklet the name of a loved one she is praying would come to know God. Moments like that stay with you. They remind us that the Lord is at work in ways no test score could ever measure.

Yesterday was the last day of school, and if you asked some of the students—many were genuinely sad for it to end for the season. That says something beautiful about the kind of community that has been built here.

As summer break begins, our prayer is that this time away would be meaningful for our students and families. That there would be rest, growth, joyful memories made together, and continued faithfulness in the ordinary moments of home life. We are grateful for this school year and already look forward to what the Lord will do in the next one.

At The Terra Nova School, singing isn’t treated like a side activity or filler. It’s part of the culture of the school.

At our recent benefit concert, our Select Choir sang Psalm 148 with beauty, strength, and joy. Watching young people lift their voices together in praise to the King of Heaven is a reminder that Christian education is about far more than academics alone.

“Let them praise the name of the LORD: for His name alone is excellent; His glory is above the earth and heaven.” Psalm 148:13

We are incredibly proud of our students. From the youngest speaker to the oldest, each one committed themselves to the long hours of preparation, memorization, practice, and delivery required for Speech Week. It was deeply encouraging to watch their hard work come to life on stage. Some speeches brought laughter, others brought tears, but all of them reflected courage, discipline, and growth.

This year, one student certainly raised the bar with his delivery of “Fairytale” by Chris Webb, earning first place in the competition. The piece powerfully traced the story of redemption from curse to Christ in a way that held the room captive.

We are equally grateful for the faithful partnership of these students’ parents. Their investment, encouragement, and example at home are an indispensable part of what takes place here at The Terra Nova School. These moments are never the work of students alone, but the fruit of families laboring together toward what is good, true, and beautiful.

Speech Week reminded us all that words matter—and when cultivated carefully, they can stir hearts, shape minds, and point people toward eternal things.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalm 19:14

At The Terra Nova School, we hold motherhood in high honor. It is a calling marked by daily sacrifice—quiet, costly, and often unseen—as a woman gives herself to the raising of an immortal soul.

As a small expression of our gratitude, we hosted a Mother’s Day tea for our moms. Our girls served and spent time with them, while our boys washed cars—each part a simple thank you for the care, labor, and love they pour out day after day.

“Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.” Proverbs 31:28

We thank the Lord for the evident fruit of this school in the lives of students and their families.

“God placed in our hearts a deep conviction that our children should be raised alongside other Christian families. When we first applied to enroll our son Julian at the school of our former church, we were heartbroken to learn that due to his history of early childhood speech delay and intensive therapies, he would not be accepted.

Shortly after, we were warmly welcomed by Terra Nova. The attention and nurturing environment allowed Julian to flourish in ways we had long prayed for. One of the most meaningful moments for us came in 2025 when Julian won his class speech competition, a testimony to the faithful support of a school that believed in him. The exceptionally small student-to-teacher ratio made all the difference.

Our younger son was also admitted when he turned four. We are already seeing beautiful fruit in his character formation. Terra Nova takes academics seriously and does not shy away from rigor. And yet, despite the structure, high expectations, and firm discipline, our boys truly love being there, so much so that they have cried when they’ve had to miss school because they were sick.

Terra Nova is more than a school. It is a Christ-centered community where families are united in the mission of cultivating wisdom, virtue, and Christian character in the next generation. We are deeply grateful to be part of this community.”

We want to recover a culture of education which sees education not simply as a knowledge of all the right facts, but a training in virtue. This is at the heart of a classical Christian education. The character of our students is not an afterthought, it is the point.

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭7‬ ‭
