The La Marque Police Association and the La Marque Professional Firefighters Local 3282 are proud to partner together to help local students get ready for the new school year!

This giveaway is for La Marque residents only.
A valid photo ID showing a La Marque address will be required. Identification will be checked to confirm residency.
School supplies are limited and will be distributed on a First-come, First-served basis while supplies last. No registration needed!
Donations were made by La Marque Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association, both LM Police Association, LM Fire Association, and citizens.

The La Marque Fire Department is proud to support the La Marque Professional Firefighters Local 3282 School Supply Drive today and tomorrow at the La Marque Walmart.

Our firefighters are collecting school supplies to help local students start the new school year prepared for success. Every donation, big or small makes a difference in the life of a child in our community.

If you’re out shopping this weekend, please consider picking up a few extra school supplies and dropping them off with our firefighters. Together, we can help fill the truck and ensure local students have the tools they need for a great school year.

Our members respond to calls like these every day, never knowing what they may encounter. They put their lives on the line to protect our community and ensure the safety of others.

We are thankful that everyone involved is safe, and we appreciate the courage, professionalism, and dedication our officers demonstrate each and every day.👏👏

📢🚨 ARREST MADE

On July 14, 2026, at approximately 12:40 p.m., officers with the La Marque Police Department were dispatched to a 911 hang-up call regarding a female in distress.
Upon arrival La Marque Police Officer observed Steven Sandles, who was seated in the passenger seat of a vehicle, attempting to steer the vehicle into traffic on Interstate 45 Southbound. The officer learned that Sandles was possibly armed with a handgun, suspected to be under the influence of narcotics and he had allegedly assaulted the driver.

As the initial officer attempted to take Sandles into custody, Sandles actively resisted arrest and assaulted the officer. The officer engaged in a physical struggle with Sandles on the shoulder of Interstate 45 Southbound while traffic continued to flow at highway speeds, creating an extremely dangerous situation. Additional officers quickly arrived to assist, and Sandles was ultimately subdued with a Taser and taken into custody without further incident.
Steven Sandles, 43, was charged with:
