🧪🥤 SCIENCE IN ACTION! 💥🔬

Yesterday, our Middle School RISE scholars got to experience a fun and engaging, hands-on lesson demonstrating how the scientific method can be applied to real-world observations through the classic Coke & Mentos experiment! 🧪✨

From making observations and asking questions to seeing cause and effect unfold right before their eyes, our scholars were able to connect science concepts to an exciting, memorable experience! 👀💡

A HUGE thank you to our amazing co-teachers, Ms. Casares and Ms. Chapa, for creating an engaging learning experience and giving our scholars the opportunity to explore, experiment, and learn by doing! 👩🏻‍🔬🧑‍🔬👏

Our high school scholars had a FANTASTIC Friday packed with fun, connection, school spirit, and celebrations! 🙌✨

Our high school students brought the energy with exciting games and competitions, including:

😂 And LOTS of laughs and Javelina spirit!

Students enjoyed lunch with their wonderful teachers while building relationships and strengthening those important connections that make our school community so special. 🫶

We celebrated our scholars for the important commitment they make to being present and ready to learn every day! 🎉👏 Attendance matters, and we loved celebrating our students for showing up and giving their best!

Our first pep rally of the year was one for the books! 🐗💙💛
It was a bittersweet moment as our middle school scholars had their very own pep rally for the first time, but they definitely made it one to remember! After two full weeks of settling back into routines, our Javelinas enjoyed some well-deserved fun, school spirit, and friendly competition.
A special shoutout to our 6th graders—the newest members of the Javelina family—who came ready to represent! They took home the coveted Spirit Stick 🏆, rocked the balloon pop relay, and pulled off an impressive victory in the Tug of War! 💪
We are so proud of the energy, enthusiasm, and school pride our scholars showed today. Here’s to many more memories, celebrations, and victories throughout the year.
