Course Spotlight: Zine-Makers Lab: Exploring YOU Through Art and Storytelling 🖌️🎨📓

Zine-Makers Lab is a dynamic week-long creative workshop where students explore identity through bold writing, visual storytelling, and hands-on design. Participants will create three original mini-magazines centered on themes that invite reflection, humor, and personal expression, and no artistic experience is required. The week culminates in a celebratory showcase where students share selected work and leave with a powerful collection of zines that reflect their voice and creativity.

Course Spotlight: Be an Inventor: Engineering Your Ideas to Life 🛠️💡

Ready to be an innovator? Inventor? This camp will teach Young Scholars how to become trailblazers in technology through hands-on experiences in electrical engineering and computer science. Young Scholars will create their own electronic inventions using Arduino microcontrollers by designing circuits and coding them. LEDs, servos, buttons, sensors, and more will allow the Young Scholars' imaginations to come alive with input and output components. For those interested, inventions can even be controlled by their cell phones! Our motto: Be a creator of technology, not just a consumer.

Course Spotlight: Food Trucks: Eating Our Way Through America 🍕🌮

Join us for a fun, flavor-filled course that explores the history, culture, and creativity behind America’s food truck scene! Students will “travel” across the country through regional foods, learning how geography, immigration, and local traditions shape what people eat. Along the way, they’ll discover how food trucks operate as small businesses and design their own food truck concept, complete with a menu, theme, and marketing pitch.

Course Spotlight: Launch into Math Superstars: Galactic Engineers 🚀🌟

A hands-on, project-heavy half-day summer course for rising grades 4–6 where advanced young mathematicians design, build, and defend a fully engineered “Galactic Base” across five immersive days. Learners deepen rigorous California 6th–7th grade math standards while sharpening problem-solving, communication, and engineering thinking in a creative, celebration-packed environment.

Course Spotlight: Experience & Game Development in Virtual Reality 🥽🕹️🎮

Have you ever wanted to build a 3D experience, and actually walk through it? With modern Virtual Reality technologies, now you can. As you learn development skills by designing 360° immersive tours, VR museums and gamified escape rooms, you will be challenged to finally design a VR game or experience of your own creation. Using familiar Minecraft-style building libraries and easy-to-learn block-based code, similar to Scratch, students will have an opportunity to learn the intricate details and skills associated with VR coding as they develop and design just like a professional game developer would.
