Some parents push their children in sports in hopes of college athletic scholarships; some parents just bask in the reflected glory. Athletic scholarships are rare and the consequences of pushing your child too hard can be dire.

You have heard back on all your applications and now it is time to decide where you will pursue your college education. There still may be a lot of unanswered questions including how am I going to pay for this. Make sure you take into consideration how long it is likely to take you to complete your degree, the estimated annual cost to attend, your family EFC, and the pros and cons of any financial aid you have been offered. Keep in mind that your education is an investment in your future. This article has some useful information and suggestions for sorting it all out.
