🏠Place: @ The Cross Cultural Center

Information on propositions:
Prop 6: Although our ultimate fight is for the complete abolition of the prison system, there are reforms that we can struggle for on the path towards that goal. ✊🏾
Proposition 6 abolishes slavery in California AND it enhances public safety and reduces recidivism by prioritizing rehabilitation, leading to significant cost savings for taxpayers. 👋🏾Currently, California taxpayers pay $132,000 per year to incarcerate one person.

Prop 36: Proposition 36 seeks to reinstate harsher penalties for certain petty crimes, aiming to undo the changes made by Prop 47. Voting NO on Prop 36 helps prevent certain nonviolent offenses from being classified as felonies. 🗣️Prop 36 exploits valid community concerns and provides a false, harmful solution. Moreover, Prop 36 would take away approximately $750 MILLION from drug treatment, rehabilitation and victim services. 🙂‍↔️
