County Middle School !! Our Virtual Mobile Science Lab will be releasing 3 spots for Spring 2022 at the end of this month. Want to learn more about our free multi-day program🪰🔬🧬? Check out the flyer & attend our Zoom open house THR JAN 27th at 3:30PM.

Maybe you aren’t sure what Salk’s Virtual Mobile Science Lab is? You may already be familiar with our in-person program Mobile Science Lab that has criss-crossed San Diego County visiting middle-school classrooms since 1996. Though, until it’s safe to return to the classroom setting, Education Outreach is offering an adaption of this award winning program, titled Virtual Mobile Science Lab. Using Zoom, or your preferred platform, our scientists will share a multi-day experience of DNA & biotechnology learning with your 6th-8th grade students. Our Day 2 features a hands-on experiment of DNA extraction from wheat-germ suitable for students in-classroom or at-home. Supplies are provided by Salk & require a signed parent-waiver prior to distribution so each student can perform the experiment in class and again at home with family.

Teachers 📚🏫, to help you register we’ve created a video to walk through all of the options available when selecting your 2/3/4 day schedule to accommodate your traditional or block classroom schedules: https://youtu.be/sCySLC0gUm0
