Please read the information below carefully as there are 2 different purchase locations:
ECE GRADUATION STOLES ✨
-Stoles will be sold at the at the Lyman Lane register only. Go up to the register and ask for the ECE or Electrical and Computer Engineering stole.
-Cost: $26.94
ECE ALUMNI POLOS 👕
-Alumni polos will be sold outside the ECE Student Affairs Office (Jacobs Hall, 2nd floor)
-Cost: $15- CASH ONLY- exact change
-Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:00-11:30 AM

Applications for the ECE Alumni Mentorship Program (ECE AMP) are due TOMORROW! (October 31)
During this 6-month long program, from mid November to mid May, you will be paired with ECE alumni that can provide you with the tools and advice to achieve your professional, personal, and academic goals.
This program is FREE to all undergraduate students that are enrolled within ECE.
The benefits of having a mentor include:
-Receiving encouragement and support for growth and improvement.
-Receiving guidance on options for after college.
-Receiving assistance with applying for internships and jobs.
-Developing networking skills and expanding your professional network.
-Having a source of knowledge that has experienced the ECE curriculum.

Bhaskar Rao, a highly esteemed ECE Distinguished Professor and Ericsson Endowed Chair, has announced his retirement after 40 years service at UC San Diego.
Professor Rao, who had a deep passion for teaching, created The Bhaskar D. Rao PhD Teaching Support Endowment Fund as a tribute to his unwavering commitment.
The endowment will provide support for PhD students in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering in gaining teaching skills, which may include but is not limited to support for:
· Faculty teaching mentorship opportunities;
· Support for PhD students to participate in teaching skill development classes, programs, and/or conferences;
· Expanded opportunities for PhD students to gain practical teaching experience in core subject matter, with preference for supporting PhD students in the areas of Signal/Image Processing (SIP), Communication Theory and Systems (CTS), and Machine Learning (ML); and/or
· Other applicable programming and/or awards intended to improve the teaching credentials for PhD students who are aspiring to become faculty members.
