Good Evening Macy Families,

I wanted to update you on the protocols we have in place for the extreme heat that is expected this week.
Morning recess will be normal as scheduled
During Lunch Recess, studens will have the opportunity to rest in an air conditioned room if they choose.
I hope this alleviates any concerns you may have in terms of our hot weather. Please send your students with water and in cool clothing.

Our Book Swap kicks off this week, so expect your student to come home with a “new to them” book to enjoy.

Last week’s Ice Cream Social was the perfect way to kick off another year at Macy! It was so much fun seeing our Eagles and their families together, enjoying some treats, catching up with friends, and celebrating the start of a new school year. 🍨✨

A HUGE thank you to our amazing Macy PTA and Macy ASB for putting together such a fun event for our school community! We appreciate all the time, planning, and helping hands that made it happen. 💙💛

Good afternoon Macy Families,

Another reminder that this Thursday is a Minimum Day with TK and Kinder students released at 12:40 and 1st-6th released at 1:05. Please plan accordingly.

I have received questions regarding how Minimum Days affect Powersource, and I am happy to report that Miimum Days do not affect Powersource. There is special scheduling to accommodate both our 12:40 TK & Kinder Dismissal, and our 1:05 Dismissal. Students will participate in special scheduling until their regularly scheduled Powersource classes begin.

This coming week is the beginning of our Book Swap. Please send in gently used books. All students are able to attend and to pic-out a “New to them” book (or two) to enjoy. Students who donate are able to choose first.

Our “Specials” start this week, with Band and Recorders, Choir, and Music and Movement. Our Band and Recorders are taught by Mr. Rockenbach, Mr. Marrone teaches our Choir to 4th - 6th grade studnets, and Ms. Logan is our TK-3rd Grade Music and Movement teacher.

This coming Thursday, August 20th, is our TK-2nd grade Back to School Night at 6:00. Please join us for improtatn information about the coming year.

ASB will be selling popsicles next week to beat the heat at lunchtime. The popsicles are $1.00 each.
