📬 Cossitt families, here are a few reminders from this week’s Cossitt News email! 🍂

📚 Curriculum Night slide deck: The 26–27 deck is now available, covering grades and specials so you can browse from home. Find the link in the email.

🌮 Marla’s Lunch is Friday, Oct 2! This is the PTC’s weekly lunch delivery from local restaurants.

🚫 No fast food or restaurant deliveries. If your child needs a district lunch, call the main office before 9 AM at 708-215-6200.

⏰ Absences and late arrivals: Report them to the attendance office before 8:20 AM at 708-215-6241.

🪪 Visitors and volunteers: Bring a government ID to enter the building.

🎲 Board game donations wanted! Indoor recess could use gently used games like Jenga, Connect 4, Uno, Guess Who, and Candy Land. Send them in with your kiddo to drop at the main office.

📖 LRC volunteers needed: This is a full-year commitment (Sept–May) on an every-other-week rotation. Sign up through the SignUpGenius in the email.

Have a pile of clothes but no time to prep them for the sale? Our volunteers have you covered!

Drop off your gently used fall and winter clothes, shoes and books at 73 7th Ave. in La Grange for donation to the Clothing Sale through Friday, October 9. 100% of the proceeds will benefit Cossitt students!

Please only donate sellable items - no stains or holes, no out of season items, and no undergarments.

☕🍩 Coffee & Conversation is back, Cossitt families!

Join Dr. Covino and Principal Michowski on Monday, Oct. 5 at 8:30 AM in the Cossitt LRC (please enter at Door 1) for donuts, coffee, and a chance to hear what’s ahead this year.

New walls! New bathrooms! New elevators! Lots of construction is happening at Cossitt School this fall, but that won’t stop the biggest school fundraiser for the year.

**The Cossitt School Fall Clothing Sale is back again this year on Saturday, October 17.**

The Cossitt School Clothing Sale in La Grange, IL is a beloved tradition that has been going strong since 1977. Not only does the sale fund school-wide programs like birthday books, the back to school party, and teacher appreciation, it also simultaneously helps many amazing charitable organizations in our area as all unsold items are donated. Please reach out if you work with an organization interested in receiving unsold items.

Here’s how to get involved:
*𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗣 thousands of items from infant to teen and find out why people look forward to our sale year after year!
*𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗟 your gently used children’s clothing, shoes, and books and keep 60% of the sale price. The Cossitt PTC keeps 40% to use towards school programs. Free hangers and cardboard for tags are available now for pick up at 120 S Kensington Ave.
*𝗗𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘 your items if you don’t feel like tagging and Cossitt keeps 100% of the profit! Now accepting drop offs at 73 7th Ave.

Join your Cossitt community at Elm Park on Sunday, August 30 from 3pm - 4:30pm. Play, connect with friends, meet new ones, and enjoy a popsicle—no screens required.

Please RSVP so we know you're coming! Come for 20 minutes or stay the whole time. Bring siblings, bring friends, and help us kick off another school year with some good old-fashioned play and community connection. (RSVPs are not required, just encouraged.)
