πŸ’› Home-School Connection: Building Strong Leaders Together!

This month, we’re focusing on Habit 1: Be Proactive and two important Trust Behaviors: Accountability and Righting Wrongs!

These skills help our Leopards take responsibility for their choices, make things right when mistakes happen, and understand that they are in charge of their actions and attitudes. 🐾

Throughout the year, Check out our Home-School Connection flyers for simple ways to continue these important conversations at home! πŸ’œπŸ’›

Together, we’re growing responsible, respectful, proactive leaders! 🌟

A huge round of applause to all of our amazing students who took part in our 2026 Summer Reading Program on Beanstack! Participants were rewarded with a token to pick out a brand-new book from our book vending machine!
The fun doesn’t stop thereβ€”our September Reading Challenge has officially kicked off! This month, we are challenging students to log 500 minutes of reading. Every minute counts, whether they are reading to themselves, listening to audiobooks, or having someone read to them.

Ready to jump in? Here is how to get started on Beanstack:
On a computer: Visit https://www.beanstack.com/login
On a mobile device: Download the free Beanstack app from your app store
Log in using your student's school email: [email protected]
If you need any help logging in or have questions, please reach out to Mrs. McCord, LES Librarian, at [email protected]. Let’s get reading, Leopards!

Our 6th graders kicked off their first Career Cruising Day of the year by learning all about financial literacy!

We are so thankful for our community professionals who took time out of their busy schedules to visit LES, share their knowledge, and help our students better understand the world of banking, finances, lending, and planning for their futures.

A HUGE thank you to:

πŸ’œ Erich Lehmann – Thrivent Financial Advisor
πŸ’› Sam Gunn – VP, Lending | Fayette Savings Bank
πŸ’œ Lyndsey Vasek – VP, Compliance Officer | Round Top Branch, RTSB
πŸ’› Sharon Chovanec – Manager | La Grange Branch, RTSB
πŸ’œ Chris Kaspar – VP, Lending | La Grange Branch, RTSB
πŸ’› Mason Russell – Brazos Valley Credit Union

Career Cruising gives our students the opportunity to learn directly from the amazing professionals in our community and begin thinking about all the possibilities waiting for them down the road.

Thank you for investing your time and knowledge in our LES students! There truly is no place like LES!

Ms. Ayres 6th Reading Block kiddos were tasked with teaching each other how to identify the Topic of a text, how to identify the main idea/controlling idea of a text, and the importance of supporting sentences.
THEY came up with anchor charts and examples on their own….
Super proud!
