Dear Families,
I wanted to check in with you regarding the first day of school, registration fee, tuition, and the new changes that are coming to Little Treasures Preschool due to COVID-19.
• The school will start Tuesday, September 1, 2020 - Please note these times may be subject to change due to new guidance’s, as well as sanitizing and disinfecting procedures between class times. I will let you know ahead of time before I make any changes.
o A.M. class will run from 7:30a.m.- 11a.m. Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
o P.M. class will run from 12:30p.m.- 4p.m. Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays.
* There will no longer be an option to drop-off your child early due to time needed for disinfecting/sanitizing.*
• There is a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $100.
• Tuition is $250 per month.
• These are both due on September 1, 2020, when you drop off your child.
Things that are changing:
• I am required to wear a mask during preschool times, but the children are not required.
• Parents are required to wear masks while dropping-off and picking-up.
• Parents must stay outside when dropping-off and picking-up children. I am required to keep a daily log of names, drop-off and pick-up times, documentation of health checks, and hours in care.
• I will bring the children inside and bring them out to meet you after school ends. If you need to pick up your child early, please let me know so that we may meet you at the outside garage door.
• We will be doing temperature checks on everyone entering the building.
o If you or your child has a temperature of 100.4F, you must stay home. The child will not be able to enter the preschool until they have been fever-free for at least 24 hours.
o If your child is not showing COVID-19 symptoms, they can return to school without a 10-day wait period with a doctor's note.
o If your child is showing symptoms of COVID-19, they are not allowed to return to school for a minimum of 10 days.
• Before entering the preschool, each child will use hand sanitizer.
• Once the child puts away their belongings, they will enter school to wash their hands.
• Your child will wash their hands before and after snack, after using the bathroom, cough, sneeze, put their fingers in their nose, and come in from playing outside.
Snack
• Parents will no longer be able to provide snacks for the class like previous years. However, I am offering two options:
1. You may sign up to bring 3 bulk items that must be unopened, prepackaged, and non-perishable once a month. (Crackers, pretzels, Peanut Butter, granola bars, breakfast bars, popcorn, cheese, etc.) These items will only be for your child's class. **Please make sure these are nutritious, healthy snacks** (p.m. class needs to bring *gluten-free* due to allergies)
2. You may choose to pay an extra $20.00 a month, and I will use that to buy the snacks for your child's snack.
• I will be providing fruits and vegetables for each class.
How I'm going to keep our classroom clean and safe:
• Before and in-between classes, I will be disinfecting both the outside play structure/equipment and the classroom.
• Due to new regulations regarding "stable groups" (AM class and PM class), I will be providing each class with their own set of toys and rotating them throughout the school year.
• I will make sure that before rotating them into the other class, they are sanitized and disinfected properly.
• When children are done playing with the toys, I will make sure they are removed from the classroom and sanitized before they are brought back into the school.
• Regarding items like crayons, markers, scissors, glue, colored pencils, and Play-Doh, I will provide each child with their own container of each of these items with their name on it. They will have access to their box throughout the class.
• I am discontinuing the water/sensory tables; this includes sandboxes until further notice.
If there is anything that I missed and/or you have concerns about, please feel free to contact me so that I can add it to our list. Thank you for your patience. We will get through this together. 😊
Wishing you all well. 😊
