🦕 D is for Dinosaur! 🦖

Ms. Nikki Lawson’s Pre-K friends became little paleontologists today! 🔎🦴

They had a dino-mite time digging up their very own fossils, making discoveries, and learning all about these prehistoric creatures! 🌋🦖

We love watching our little Owls learn through hands-on exploration, curiosity, and LOTS of fun! 🧡🤍

🦉 LEARNING IN ACTION IN MS. MADRON’S CLASS! 🦉🧡

Our scholars in Ms. Aleshia Madron’s class are working hard on their phonics skills!

Through auditory drills, blending practice, and phonemic awareness activities, students are strengthening the foundational reading skills they need to become confident readers! 🌟

We love seeing our teachers provide engaging, explicit instruction while giving students opportunities to practice and grow!

🪿🧡 HEY! YOU ARE GETTING GOOSED! 🧡🪿

Today we are celebrating some of our AMAZING LaFollette Elementary teachers who are always going above and beyond for our students! 🦉✨

🎶 Mrs. Carrie Orick — Mrs. Carrie is constantly looking for ways to give our students meaningful and memorable experiences. She recently received a grant to take our students on a Musical Field Trip! 🎵🎭 We are so excited for our scholars to have this incredible opportunity!

📚 Mrs. Sarah Gammon — Mrs. Gammon just wrapped up a PHENOMENAL week of Book Fair! She worked hard to make sure our students had the opportunity to discover new books, build excitement around reading, and find books they could enjoy. 📖❤️

We are SO thankful for educators who pour their hearts into our students and continually find ways to make school more engaging, meaningful, and FUN! 🧡🖤

Our students LOVE Kona Day! There were smiles all around as our Owls enjoyed a cool and delicious treat! 🦉🍧☀️

A VERY special thank you to Riggs Drug & Gifts Lafollette in LaFollette for helping make sure that students who did not bring money were still able to enjoy Kona Ice. 🧡 Your generosity allowed every student to be included and enjoy the fun!

We are so thankful for community partners like Riggs Drug Store who continue to support our students and our school. Your kindness means so much to us! 🧡

There’s nothing better than ending the week with a little FUN! 🎉

A HUGE shoutout to Coach Tracy, who always has fun games and activities ready to bring smiles to our students and staff!

Mrs. Carrie, who always has the perfect fun song to get us moving and ready to celebrate!

✨ STEM in Mrs. G’s Library! ✨🖍️

Our students put their creativity, problem-solving, and engineering skills to work today in STEM!

Students were challenged to design and build their very own crayon boxes, making sure their structures were steady, sturdy, and strong.

But they didn’t stop there! Students got creative by designing their own crayon brand names, logos, and packaging. Some students even took their projects to the next level by creating their own QR codes!

We love seeing our Owls think outside the box, collaborate, create, and solve problems! 🦉🧡
