🌟 What a fantastic first week of our LaFollette Elementary School 21st Century Summer School Program! 🌟

A huge shoutout to Heather Parks and her amazing crew for leading a successful and engaging first week with our students! From learning opportunities to fun activities, our students are already off to a great start this summer. ☀️📚

We are so thankful for the dedication, hard work, and positive energy that make programs like this so meaningful for our LES students. We can’t wait to see all the great things the rest of the summer will bring! ☀️

🏐 LMS VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS 🏐

Do you have what it takes to be an Owl? We are excited to announce volleyball tryouts for the 2026 season!

🗓️Monday, June 1st | 5:30-7:00 PM
🗓️Tuesday, June 2nd | 5:30-7:00 PM

Players should:
✅ Wear a t-shirt and shorts
✅ Bring a water bottle
✅ Have hair tied up in a ponytail
✅ Bring knee pads if you have them

Players who make the team and their parents should plan to attend our Parent Meeting on Thursday, June 5th at 5:00 PM in the LMS Gym.

We are looking forward to another great season and can’t wait to see our future Lady Owls in action!

What an incredible year it has been! We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our amazing LES families, students, educators, and staff for making this school year so special. Your hard work, support, dedication, and school spirit have made a difference each and every day.

🎉✨ Celebrating Two Incredible Educators ✨🎉

Today, LaFollette Elementary School had the honor of celebrating two truly amazing educators as they begin their well-earned retirement journey, Coach Toney Brawner and Mrs. Kim Hembree! 🧡🦉

Coach Toney Brawner, our beloved PE teacher, dedicated 25 years to education, while Mrs. Kim Hembree, our incredible 5th grade math teacher, devoted an outstanding 41 years to shaping the lives of students.

What makes their stories even more special is that both Coach Brawner and Mrs. Hembree began their educational journeys in the Scott County School System and ended their careers serving students in the Campbell County School System.

What a legacy of dedication, passion, and service to children!

We loved celebrating these two fabulous educators and the countless lives they have touched over the years. Their kindness, wisdom, encouragement, and commitment to students will leave a lasting impact on LaFollette Elementary School.

While they will be greatly missed, we are so thankful for the years they poured into our school family.

Please join us in congratulating Coach Toney Brawner and Kim Hembree on their retirement and wishing them all the happiness in this exciting new chapter! 🧡🧡
