Today we delivered a $400 check to the Nebraska Cattleman Disaster Relief fund. We raised $200 of this from the euchre tournament earlier this month, and the other $200 was matched by an anonymous donor! Thanks to all who helped make this possible!

Hello all! This Saturday, April 11th, we will be hosting a euchre tournament in the La Farge gymnasium. It will cost $10 a pair to play, or $5 per person, and all proceeds will go to Oklahoma farmers struggling with crop production due to wildfires. Last Thursday brought some serious success to the LaFarge Livestock Judging Team. With a 5th place finish overall, beating over 40 teams, these girls are on track to state! Out of 192 individual competitors, Riley Grefe placed 53rd, Gwenyth Walker placed 21st, and Macie Fowell placed 2nd! To attend state with three competitors is a huge accomplishment, great job!

Last week some FFA members went to U-W Platteville for the regional CDE (Career Development Event). Our Livestock judging team consisted of Gweny Walker, Riley Grefe, and Macie Fowell. Our Meats Evaluation team consisted of Aiden Shird, James Coggins, Oliver Wallace, and Logan Stewart. Our Floriculture team consisted Daisy Nemec, Kinley Morris, Abby Lancaster, and Bailee Nemec. Our Dairy Judging team consisted of Alicia Wirts, Chloe Schlicht, Ryley Benson, and Hope Weber. Our Ag Mechanics team consisted of Beau Sherrick, Brian Potter, Logan Huebsch, and Gunnar Williams. Great job to all who participated!

Wednesday night a few FFA members went up to Whitetail Ridge in Fort McCoy to go snow tubing. These kids had lots of fun with the Viroqua FFA as well! The night was warm and the hill was fast!
