Thanks to everyone who came to our Tie Dye Party in the Garden last Friday - it was a smashing success with 50 t-shirts and more tie-dyed!
Please join us if you can, on July 4th in La Farge for the Fourth of July Parade. KVFS will be "marching" in the parade (bring your scooters, bikes, strollers or just feet!) to show our school spirit. This is a fun gathering and time to meet and connect with other KVFS families. The Village of La Farge also puts on a fun event with lots of activities for kids and music in the park so plan to stay and enjoy the activities if you can!
The parade is at 10:30 on Saturday, July 4th with line up beginning at 9:30 am. Check in at the Old Church Inn at the corner of Hwy 82 and Oak street to find our KVFS line-up number.

Wear your KVFS school gear if you have it or your new KVFS tie-dye!

If plans change due to weather or anything else, we'll try to post here as soon as we can.

Reminder about the TIE-DYE PARTY happening in the garden tomorrow (Friday, June 26) between 9:00 - 10:30!
Up to 50 free KVFS tees are available for adults and children to tie dye in red/white/blue to wear with the KVFS crew in the La Farge 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4th at 10:30.

When you find a painted turtle in the school parking lot call in the forest schoolers! Our 4th graders happily rescued this small turtle from the hot asphalt parking lot and gently carried it to a nearby creek where we often play! Good luck Ms. DillyDally, we wish you well!

We are often asked: Do they just play outside?
The answer is yes….and…
There are warm, sheltered places for indoor focused learning AND everyday we get out for extended time in nature. We know so much growth happens in nature. At KVFS we notice and celebrate children’s growth in comprehensive and ‘big picture’ ways because we know they’ll need it to well rounded flexible adults in the world they will inherit. And we celebrate and honor childhood for all the magic and healthy development it offers!
