Favorite Class: Selective Phy-Ed
Favorite Teacher: Mr. Mahrol because he teaches thoroughly, has time for me to come in to ask questions, and has a sense of humor.
Extracurricular Activities: Student Council and Ineract Club
Favorite thing about Logan High: I love the open, accepting atmosphere that comes from the students and teachers.
Anticipated Major: International Studies
Hobbies: learning about other cultures, traveling, and having conversations with strangers
Advice for future AVID students: Do your work; don’t procrastinate; organize your homework and life; and form relationships with teachers.

Favorite Teacher: Mr. Renkas because I’ve known him since sixth grade, and he’s always been there for me.
Extra Curricular Activities: Tennis, Soccer, and Cheer Squad
Favorite thing about Logan High: Most people get along really well, and it feels like a safe place.
Anticipated Major: Nursing
Hobbies: playing piano or guitar, playing soccer or tennis
Advice for future AVID students: Keep a determined mindset, and don’t give up!

Favorite Class: Chemistry
Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Hartman. She has helped me a lot in and out of school. Also, she has been there for me when I needed her.
Extra Curricular Activities: Football, Basketball, and Track
Favorite thing about Logan High: The teachers and staff that work in the building. They really care about other coworkers and students.
College of Choice: UW - Madison
Anticipated Major: Sports Medicinal Science
Hobbies: shooting hoops in the gym or working out
Advice for future AVID students: Do anything you can to be the best version of yourself and always be a role model.

Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Xu, my Chinese teacher. She’s very nice and flexible when it comes to due dates and assignments.
Extra Curricular Activities: GSA and Art Club
Favorite thing about Logan High: A majority of my teachers are awesome! They’re nice and tolerant of everyone.
College of Choice: Tsinghua University (in China)
Anticipated Major: Paramedic Science
Hobbies: Reading, singing, writing, and drawing
Advice for future AVID students: Believe in yourself, yes, even though it’s cheesy.

Favorite thing about Logan High: I love all the faculty, and the environment that this school creates.

Anticipated Major: Mass Communications in Journalism
Hobbies: Reading, writing, playing Dead by Daylight with friends
Advice for future AVID students: Don’t get overwhelmed with all the information they shove at you, you have four years to process it all.

Favorite Teacher: Mrs. Hughes. She showed me how important teachers can be in a student’s life.
Extra Curricular Activities: Basketball & Track
Favorite thing about Logan High: The staff. There are so many fun, caring, silly, and awesome staff members at Logan that do their best to make school fun.
College of Choice: Winona State University
Anticipated Major: Education
Hobbies: Singing and dancing. Watching Netflix and eating.
Advice for future AVID students: Do your best. Stay determined and go on as many college visits as you can because before you know it, you will be applying.

Some of our Logan AVID students volunteered at the Lights Over North La Crosse event this past Saturday evening. It was easy to feel the holiday spirit in the air as students helped members of the community roast marshmallows for s'mores. It was a great night!!!
