We thank them for organizing this event to help support Bryce’s family through this tragic time and as they navigate their new reality. All proceeds will benefit the family of our fallen Eau Claire brother, Firefighter Bryce Jungbluth.

Congrats to Tom on checking his first solo off the Private Pilot License to-do list! And a big congrats to his instructor, Kyle, as well! Our instructors are just as proud as the student after a safe first solo flight 🙂 Keep up the great work, Tom!! ✈️✈️✈️

Yesterday was a hard day for many of us at Colgan Air as we learned that one of our former Line Service Technicians, Bryce Jungbluth, passed while on the Line-of-Duty for Eau Claire Fire Rescue. He was 27 years old.

Bryce came to us fresh out of high school looking for a part-time job while he started firefighter training Western Technical College. He was a quick, easy, no-brainer of a hire! Bryce had traits you can't train - initiative, a strong work ethic, positive attitude, team player and compassion for those around him. To this day, we say, "Gosh, we wish we could find another Bryce." But when someone is one-of-a-kind, you can't find a replacement.

It was bittersweet when he moved from La Crosse to begin his firefighting career in North Carolina. We hated to see him go but it was clear this was his calling. We were so proud of all he had already accomplished, and proud of knowing what he would accomplish in the future. Bryce's potential was truly limitless.

We're heartbroken for Bryce's wife, 9-month old son and his loving parents and family. The world lost one of its best way too soon. Colgan Air will never forget Bryce and the impact he had on our business and staff, and everyone who had the privilege of meeting him. We will honor him by dedicating ourselves to serving others and community, just as he did.

The Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin Charitable Foundation, Inc. established a fund to support his family.

Colgan Air is proud to participate in the School District of La Crosse's Youth Apprentice Program! We have had the privilege of sharing our world with ambitious, hard-working high school apprentices that want to learn more about the various career opportunities in the aviation industry. Aviation is filled with a variety of worker shortages, and there are so many possibilities beyond piloting aircraft. These programs play in integral part in developing the workforce of the future.

We're grateful the School District of La Crosse includes us in their apprentice program The apprentices are top-notch and we highly encourage employers and students to check it out!

Our friends made it safely to EAA - The Spirit of Aviation Airventure! This is the part of their show we don't get to see but the most important part as we want to see everyone land safely. More fun videos and photos to share after we recover but thank you Bonanzas to Oshkosh for choosing La Crosse as your launching pad for another year! So fun, so exhausting but totally worth it!

A very hot and a very smokey , but everyone is here! Mother Nature says she plans to cooperate 🙏 so engines will start at 11:15 am and departure begins shortly before noon. It’ll be a bit noisy above during lunchtime!

A GIANT thanks to our AMAZING staff who worked their butts off in this heat and smoke. They’re the real heroes of today!

Wednesday night has become the new B2OSH eve! In the early years of Bonanza’s to Oshkosh, the vast majority of the 130 aircraft arrived on Friday for their Saturday departure in mass formation to EAA - The Spirit of Aviation Airventure in Oshkosh. Because of the amazing hospitality, entertainment, outdoor recreation and natural beauty of our community, now about half of the aircraft arrive on Thursday!

Thank you Explore La Crosse for helping us promote the many reasons to visit La Crosse! Unfortunately this heat wave might limit some of those activities, our team is excited to welcome our extended Bonanza family back to the City of La Crosse, Wisconsin!
