🌿 Looking for something fun, free, and family-friendly in October? Join us for Nature Saturday at The Nature Place in Myrick Park! Enjoy hands-on activities, nature crafts, and outdoor adventure from 9:30–11:30am—no registration needed; bring your curiosity and love for the outdoors!

Western families: Join us for light snacks and refreshments while you connect with the Student Parent Resource Team (SPRT). We'll offer snacks and drinks from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Stop by our table to say hello and discover the resources available to student parents.

Join us on Thursday, May 14th for the Indigenous Film Series featuring 3 short films followed by a Q&A discussion!

Doors open at 4:30pm and films will start at 5pm after a brief introduction. Tickets are free but please RSVP through rivoli.net (link in bio)

This event is in partnership between the Ho-Chunk Nation Youth Services-La Crosse, UW Extension La Crosse County, Rivoli Theatre, Western Technical College, Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration, and the La Crosse Public Library.

Restoring NĂŠĹĄke'emane (2021)
A documentary centered on environmentalist Damon Dunbar and his life’s work to remediate the toxic landscape of a Cheyenne and Arapaho Indian boarding school shut down in the early 1980s by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

Pay: $14/hr • Hours: Up to 20/week • Student Internship

Are you a Western Technical College student who loves working with kids and wants hands‑on experience in early childhood education or family services? We're looking for a Drop-In Care Intern to support our on-campus child care program for student parents!

✨ What You’ll Do:
• Engage and supervise children during play + learning activities
• Support teachers with daily routines and classroom prep
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming learning environment
• Assist with meals, documentation, and family communication
• Learn best practices in child development + early learning

✨ You Are:
• 18+ with HS diploma/equivalent
• Enrolled at Western Technical College
• Reliable, caring, and eager to learn
• (Bonus!) ECE coursework, experience with kids, or CPR/First Aid

This internship runs ASAP through August 30, 2026 and is a great fit for students exploring early childhood careers—or anyone excited to support student parents in their education journey.
