So many people fear saying the words, dead, dying and death, as if the words will somehow make it worse. Believe me, it doesn’t!
Here’s a poem about the D word.

Don’t say lost or passed away,
Don’t say they’re gone or sleeping,
Don’t wrap it up in cotton wool,
For fear of causing weeping.

I know it will be hard for you,
But be brave, and say instead,
I’m sorry that your husband died.
