SHEILA (BERANEK) BROSS ....Sheila Ann Marie Beranek Bross, 78, of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed peacefully on February 28, 2026, of complications due to Parkinson’s Disease. Her husband and three sons were by her side. She was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, on September 25, 1947, to Theodore (Ted) and Alberta (Bert) Beranek, . Sheila attended Catholic-based Aquinas High School, finding faith, value, and lifelong friendships. She attended the St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse, before beginning her career at the Veterans Administration in Milwaukee, and ultimately West Allis Memorial Hospital. She finished her career in AZ, contributing her experience to clinics throughout Chandler. ***Please note there will also be another Celebration to be held in Wisconsin later this spring, date and place to be determined. Hi John,

Thank you for your email. I was happy to get to host several members of your class for school tours on Saturday morning. It is great to hear you had a nice reunion experience. I know Father Malin loves reconnecting with each class whenever he can. He is an absolute gem of a man and I enjoy every encounter with him. It is really nice of you to think of thanking him, and you are right he would be both humbled and appreciative of the gesture. There is a scholarship fund that helps families in need here at school that Father Malin helped to establish. The details of the fund are listed below. Each year it gives out $3000 in financial assistance. I am sure a gift from classmates to support this fund would be a most generous honor.

Father Delbert Malin Scholarship Fund
To provide need based tuition assistance to students at Aquinas High School while honoring the legacy of Msgr. Delbert Malin and his 18 years of service to Aquinas. This award benefits a high school student whose family demonstrates a need for financial assistance.

Classmates could make checks payable to Aquinas Catholic Schools with a note/memo of "Malin Scholarship" and send payment to

Here are some photos from the Class of '65 reunion event at The Freighthouse Restaurant in La Crosse on September 12. Everyone seemed to have a great time! It was also very moving to name all the class members who have died since graduation and recognize those who served in the armed forces. Thanks to all those who helped make this reunion possible!
