After more than 34 years of dedicated service to the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and Murphy Library, Terry Stika is beginning a well-earned retirement.

Terry played an important role in supporting technology and ITS services within the library, helping ensure that students, faculty, staff, and community members had access to the tools and resources they needed. His knowledge, problem-solving skills, and willingness to help made him a trusted colleague and a valued member of the Murphy Library team.

To celebrate his retirement, Murphy Library surprised Terry with a slushy machine, a fun nod to his longtime wish for the library.

Congratulations, Terry, and thank you for your years of service, dedication, and impact on Murphy Library and the UWL community. We wish you all the best in retirement.

The second round of our Murphy’s Mutts exhibit brings archival photos (late 1800s to 1960s) out of the archives and up onto the walls of our library. 🖼️🐩

Visit the NEW exhibit on the first floor of the library. Our staff and their furry friends are featured as well. ✨

The second slide features the names of Murphy’s patrons’ dogs collected during the spring semester.
