“For Student of the Week, I nominate Avelyn H. She is always an amazing student, with a hardworking attitude towards school work. She enjoys a challenge and is always helpful to her classmates when they are having trouble with a subject. Avy is a quick volunteer to help out the teacher. She is respectful of the playground equipment and is always diligent about putting away neatly into the shed any item she uses. She uses her time wisely and she has earned trinity tickets by organizing the books in the classroom. Avy demonstrates the virtue of magnificence through her studious work when it comes to coloring her saint pictures. I believe Avy deserves the Student of the Week award and I nominate her for it.”

Last week we hosted our annual Authors’ Tea and Art Show. Students in grades 1-4 read their original works to those who visited, and artwork from all students was on display. We had a WONDERFUL turnout of parents, grandparents, and other family members!

“This student has risen to the challenge of being a Trinity Kid with a positive attitude and renewed confidence. Kindness is shown by helping classmates, cleaning the classroom without being asked, including others when playing on the playground at recess, and compliments to classmates when they do well. Integrity is shown by taking responsibility for mistakes, being humble, and improving trustworthiness. Diligence is shown by being organized, starting class right away, having all materials ready and completing homework and absent work swiftly, and trying her best. Self-control is shown by overcoming difficulties with grace instead of angst, waiting her turn patiently. and having a good attitude while persevering to the end. Therefore, I nominate Mykena T. for student of the week.”

Congratulations to Madi H., our newest student of the week!

Her teacher said the following: “Madi is a wonderful student who always comes into class with a sunshine smile and a ready-to-work attitude. She enjoys helping the teacher and playing with fellow classmates at recess. Madi is always respectful in class and demonstrates the virtue of faith by using “prayer hands” during Mass and morning prayer. I also appreciate how she demonstrates gratitude by thanking her teacher when she receives a worksheet or a paper towel. She is deserving of the Student of the Week award.”
