This workshop explores one of the most vibrant seasons in the Anishinaabe calendar, when the forests begin their transformation and the land prepares for the coming winter.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, this workshop offers an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Anishinaabe seasonal teachings while creating a meaningful work of art.
🌕 Workshop Highlights:
* Learn the teachings of Waatebagaa-giizis (Leaves Changing Moon).
* Explore the significance of seasonal change in Anishinaabe culture.
* Discover Ojibwemowin vocabulary related to autumn and the lunar calendar.
* Receive step-by-step instruction in acrylic painting techniques.
* Create an original canvas inspired by the beauty and teachings of the changing season.
* Continue building your personal Anishinaabe Moon Painting Series throughout the year.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will have completed an original Waatebagaa-giizis painting to take home as part of the ongoing Thirteen Moons of the Anishinaabe collection.
