The 25-26 school year is all wrapped up and summer is here! But the Negley PTA would like to take a moment to thank the people who stepped up and helped us make the year a little more special for our students and staff. This is going to be a long one, but one that is very close to our hearts.

We held quite a few events this year and none of them would have been as fun or successful without the help of our sponsors! With their incredible support, we were able to go from, “Here’s what we’d like to do…” to “Here’s what we have planned for you!” And we couldn’t be more grateful.

Our sponsors throughout the year, in alphabetical order, were: Barton Financial Group, Bear Heiser, Cory Pack - State Farm Agent, For the Love of Go, Glick Law & Associates, Hays Home Team, JBS Real Estate, Key Law Office, Kyle ER & Hospital, La Ola Pop Shop, Nitro Swimming, Esther Talley Cain - Olive Fox Properties Group, Rocking Horse Academy, Sharkey’s Cuts For Kids - Kyle.

Our community partners helped us with donations that took some so-so moments and made them WHOO HOO moments. They made sure our staff had appreciation snacks and meals, that our PTA meetings included goodies, that our contests had some pretty rad prizes, and that our silent auction was worth all the bids. Without the amazing donations we got from our community this year, the PTA wouldn’t have been nearly as popular as it was, and for that we thank you!

Our community partners throughout the year, in alphabetical order, were: Buda Bike Co, Club Pilates, Crust Pizza Co, EVO Entertainment - Kyle, Fresh Face Med Spa, HTeaO, Jimmy John’s, The Lash Lounge, The Main Squeeze, McKenna Children’s Museum, Rhea’s Ice Cream, The Root Cellar, Roxie’s, Starbucks Kyle Marketplace, StretchLab, Tony C’s Pizza & Beer Garden, and Willow Yoga.

Many of our sponsors and community partners also became vendors at our events, but we did have some groups come out just to support us and make sure our students and staff got that extra dose of magic! By ensuring there was always something new and fresh at each event, they really kept things exciting. With the help of our vendors, everyone got a chance to have fun - and that deserves an extra thank you!

Our vendors (outside of those who have already been listed as a sponsor or partner) throughout the year, in alphabetical order, were: The Block Screen Printing, Dance Unlimited, DKP Crafts, Double B Bakery, The Glittery Dinocorn, Kona Ice, Mathnasium, Nanna’s Kitchen, Tikis Shaved Ice & Ice Cream.

Who doesn’t love taking a night off of the never-ending decision making train that is choosing what’s for dinner? Our Spirit Night venues allowed us to do just that while also giving a portion of the proceeds right back to us so that we could spend them on our students and staff. If there is ever a time to say thank you, it’s when someone takes a bit of work off your plate and then pays you for it!

Our Spirit Night vendors throughout the year, in alphabetical order, were: Domino’s Pizza, Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken & Wings, P. Terry’s Burger Stand, Sonic, and Willie’s Grill & Ice House.

And finally, our biggest thank you of all, to our amazing, fantastic, phenomenal, GOATed Navigator Families. You always show up and show out when called upon and without you, we would be nothing.

We are so very grateful for everything our staff, our families, and our community has done to make the 25-26 school year one of the best yet. We can’t wait to work with you in the 26-27 school year!

This year flew by! We hope everyone has the best time with their teachers and friends today before it is officially SUMMER ☀️

Calling all graduating seniors who are former Negley Navigators! The Negley PTA is proud to announce the return of our Alumni Scholarship Award.

The Laura B. Negley Elementary School PTA (Negley PTA) Alumni Scholarship was established to recognize former students who have succeeded in their academic endeavors as well as supported their community. Negley PTA shall offer one $500 scholarship to the most qualified candidate each year.

The mandatory requirements for scholarship applicants are as follows:

* Is a former Negley Elementary School student with at least one full year of attendance.

* Has a cumulative non-weighted GPA of 2.50 or better at time of application completion.

* Attends and will graduate from a high school within the Hays Consolidated Independent School District.

* Has demonstrated involvement in extra-curricular activities and/or community service-based organizations.

* Will submit a completed application package no later than the assigned deadline. Incomplete or late applications will be disqualified.

Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of:

1. Years attended Negley Elementary
2. Academic performance
3. Participation in extra-curricular and/or community service-based organizations
4. Quality of the applicant’s essay

In order to be considered a candidate for this scholarship, please complete the application form with attached required documents no later than Sunday, May 31, 2026.
