Thank you, Suzanne McManus, for your service to the Hays CISD Education Foundation board.

Suzanne recently stepped off the board after serving as the HEF board Secretary since 2022. Over the years, Suzanne has been involved in numerous district activities and initiatives across the district.

Suzanne is stepping off the board, but she is staying close. She will continue volunteering with the HEF for State of the District and with Teacher Closet.

Hays CISD is better because of you, Suzanne. Thank you!

Why Employee Giving Matters, And Why YOU Matter!

When Hays CISD employees participate in Better Together Employee Giving, 100% of every donation goes directly back to our teachers and students through classroom grants, resources, and innovative learning opportunities. Every dollar stays local. Every donation creates impact.

💙Currently, about 9–10% of district employees participate. But take a second to imagine something bigger…

What if all 3,600 Hays CISD employees gave… even just $1 per month?!?

That collective support could dramatically increase the number and size of grants awarded across the district, bringing more tools, programs, and opportunities into our classrooms.

Participation matters for another important reason:
Strong employee giving rates demonstrate community investment and financial stability factors that can strengthen the Foundation’s position when pursuing larger corporate and national grant opportunities. Simply put, higher participation helps us compete for more outside funding that ultimately benefits Hays CISD schools and students.

The best part? You don’t have to give big to make a difference. Even $1 per month adds up when we give together.

Happy National Nonprofit Day!

Today we are celebrating organizations that show up for their community, not because it is easy, but because it matters.

At the Hays Education Foundation, that looks like students getting what they need to participate. Teachers walking out with supplies or being awarded a grant. Teachers being celebrated for their work in our community! Thank you to our community that keeps saying yes.

We do this work because Hays CISD and our community deserve it. And we could not do it without you.

If you have ever donated, volunteered, shared a post, or just cheered us on, today is your day too.
