We are super excited to introduce our new Head Band Director, Ms. Johanna Balboa!

Johanna Balboa is entering her ninth year of teaching and is excited to be joining Chapa Middle School as Head Band Director. She will be directing the Wind Ensemble, assist with Symphonic Band, and teach all beginner woodwind classes.

Prior to joining Chapa Middle School, Ms. Balboa was the assistant band director in Fredericksburg ISD at both the middle and high school campuses.

Please join me in congratulating the following members of the Chapa Band for earning a spot in the TMEA Region 18 District Band this past Saturday! Of the 13 students who earned a spot in the District Band, 7 have advanced to the next round of Region Band auditions on Saturday, November 8th at Covington Middle School. We are so proud of them!
