What a GREAT day to be a Wolverine!

Out of 20 students who auditioned, 17 earned a spot in the TMEA Region Choir—A NEW CAMPUS RECORD! We are beyond proud and ecstatic for ALL of our students and the hard work, courage, and dedication they poured into this process.

Join us for our 7th annual Hays CISD Bands Festival featuring the band programs from the following schools: Lehman High School Moe & Gene Johnson High School, Hays HS, Simon Middle School Chapa Middle School, R.C. Barton Middle School, Dahlstrom Middle School, McCormick Middle School, Wallace Middle School.

This annual event features the 2026 marching productions from each of the High School bands and color guards. Additionally we conclude the evening with a special mass bands showcase performance from all the Hays CISD high school and middle schools.

Admission and parking to this event is free and open to the public! To make a donation to Hays CISD Band programs, donate through the link below. Donations will help fund transportation, instruments and equipment.

Spectators are asked to use the parking lot at the south end-zone & Bales lot, as well as overflow parking located at Live Oak Academy & Barton Middle School.

A BBQ food truck, Kona Ice and Tom’s Coffee will be at the South Gate.

Moe & Gene finished 4th overall at BOA Central Texas Regional tonight!

Your Hawk Band and Guard is headed to finals at the US Bands Conn Selmer Classic!

The ensemble placed 1st in prelims out of 30 bands and will have the opportunity to shine underneath the lights tonight!

The Band and Guard was 1st place in the following captions:

Visual Effect
Color Guard
Music Effect
Music Proficiency

The Band and Guard will take field at 10:00pm.
