What a weekend for Supreme Academy ATX at the IBJJF San Antonio Open. 🥇🥇🥇🥉
Juliet, Mike, and Angel stepped onto the competition mats and represented Supreme with heart, composure, and some incredible jiu-jitsu.
This tournament was especially meaningful for Juliet. After 18 months away from competition and becoming a mom to Jack, she returned to the IBJJF mats stronger, focused, and more determined than ever. There is something powerful about watching a woman enter a completely new season of life and still make room for the athlete within her.
Mike continues to challenge himself at nearly 49, proving that there is always another level to pursue. He keeps showing up, putting himself in uncomfortable situations, learning, competing, and refusing to stop growing.
And Angel stepped out there with that same willingness to be tested. Competing takes courage at any stage of life. You put your training on display, accept whatever happens, learn from it, and come back better.
That’s what makes us proud of all three of them.
The medals are incredible, but what matters most is who our students are becoming through the process: more disciplined, more resilient, more confident, and more willing to face difficult things.
Credit also goes to Professor Antonio for the instruction and preparation that helped get our competitors ready for the IBJJF stage.
And none of it happens in isolation.
We are intentionally building a culture at Supreme where teammates push one another, coaches invest in their students, families support the journey, and when someone steps onto that competition mat, they know an entire academy is standing behind them.
Congratulations, Juliet, Mike, and Angel. You represented yourselves, your coaches, your teammates, and Supreme Academy ATX beautifully.
This is the culture we’re building. And we’re just getting started.
