Happening tomorrow!

We are excited to share that this Saturday, 8/29 (10 am – 6 pm) & Sunday, 8/30 (11:00 am – 5 pm MST), we will have our HEEF booth set up at the Hopi Cultural & Arts Festival in Flagstaff, AZ! We will be sharing information about our mission to Hopi students pursuing higher education and promoting future events such as our signature event, the Silent Auction, happening later this fall.

Stop by to say hello and connect with us and experience this exciting free public event to see talented Hopi artisans & crafts, traditional social dances, a live fashion show, and delicious food!

ALUMNI CHALLENGE CHAMPIONS!

The HEEF has received a gift of $2,500, for the Crushers! This gift to the team total for the Crushers dethrones the projected winner, Team ASU, and officially makes the Arizona Crushers the 2026 HEEF Alumni Challenge Champs BACK-TO-BACK! 🙌🏆

This marks the 4th all-time Arizona Crushers Championship/Title, with a team-best record total of $6,550!

We thank the alumni teams of Team Northern Arizona University, Team University of Arizona, Team Arizona Crushers (all other educational institutions combined), and Team Arizona State University for participating and for giving generously to our campaign. Altogether, the 4 HEEF alumni teams combined have raised $17,070! In the end, our Hopi students are the true winners.

We are deeply thankful for all of the alumni and donors who gave to the success of this competitive campaign! We can't wait to continue the challenge's legacy going into 2027.

We are happy to announce that we will be at next week’s 2026 15th Hopi Cultural & Arts Festival at the Flagstaff Mall from August 29-30, 2026! On Saturday (10 am – 6 pm) & Sunday (11:00 am – 5 pm MST), we will be set up at our booth providing information about the HEEF and upcoming HEEF events.

We hope to see you all there as we celebrate the Hopi people at the Festival! Festivities include art market, Hopi dance groups, food, and a live fashion show! This event is hosted by the Hopi Tribe Economic Development Corporation.

While we are waiting for possible checks coming in the mail with a postmarked Friday, August 14th date, it appears that Team ASU is the projected/unofficial winner and could again be this year's HEEF Alumni Challenge champion! 🚨

Alumni Team Standings as of Wednesday, August 19th, 2026:

Team Arizona State University (1st Place) - $4175
Team Arizona Crushers (2nd Place) - $4050
Team Northern Arizona University (3rd Place) - $2970
Team University of Arizona (4th Place) - $1275

Stay tuned as an official winner will be announced this Friday, August 21st, 2026!

Here is the last update of the day (3 of 3) for the 2026 HEEF Alumni Challenge, showing where the alumni teams stand.

Interesting development happening as the Crushers are now back in front! 👀 We are also now past the halfway point for our $20,000 goal! Stay tuned as the announcement of the unofficial winner will be made next week as we begin to make the final tallies.
