Our program staff will be able to assist you. 😊

The HOPI Cancer support services offers screening appointments for breast and cervical cancer, education on various cancer topics, to***co cessation, and monetary assistance for patients undergoing cancer treatment to assist with travel costs.

May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month

Skin Cancer is the most common cancer diagnosis in the U.S., but it is also the most preventable. An estimated one in five Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, however the risk does not stop there.

During Skin Cancer Awareness Month, we want to remind people of all skin tones about the damage ultra violet (UV) rays from the sun does to your skin. Use broad spectrum sunscreen with a minimum 30 SPF and practice sun safety to reduce your risk of melanoma, as well as other types of skin cancer and premature aging.

Don’t forget about the risk of UV light exposure produced from sunlamps. Sunlamp products, otherwise known as indoor tanning beds and booths, emit UV radiation, a known human carcinogen. Each year in the U.S., more than 400,000 cases of skin cancer, including both melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers, are linked to indoor tanning.

2022 National Women’s Health Week

Join us virtually next week from May 8th – May 14th 2022 for our live-streaming events .

In collaboration with other tribal health programs, we will be offering various topics on mental, physical, and spiritual wellness.

This year the event is entirely virtual on our new YouTube channel The Hopi Women's Health Program - YouTube.

Additionally, we will be offering a free Hopi Tribe Women's Health Week 1 mile Run/Walk Challenge (runsignup.com) on Saturday, May 14th, 2022. Sign up for the challenge and post your pics on Facebook using .
