Undergraduate students can choose a B.S. Ed. in library science or a degree in library science that leads to a public library certification.

The Library Science programs at KU are offered by the Elementary, Middle-Level, Library and Technologies Education program at Kutztown University, which is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. We also offer a minor in library science! We also offer initial and extension of certification programs along with a master's program at the graduate level.

“In the Neighborhood” introduces us to a group of animal neighbors who never speak to each other due to preconceived ideas. One day Mrs. Paquita’s internet fails and one-by-one, the neighbors begin helping each other. This charming book can be the catalyst for a wonderful discussion about friendship and community. Thank you Charlesbridge Publishing for the donation!

at Kutztown University celebrates women in history! “Troublemakers in Trousers” by Sarah Albee celebrates 21 women in history who wore men’s clothing, broke the rules, and pushed boundaries to experience opportunities they were denied- simply because of their gender. Middle school students will love this beautifully illustrated and well-written book (you will, too)! Browse the pages at our Fall Book Review to learn more about Frida Kahlo, Harriet Tubman, Running Eagle, Khutulun, and more powerful and successful women who lived on their own terms.
