KU Community Outreach Center The Community Outreach Center is the Kutztown University hub for community service and social advocacy work.

The center promotes mutually beneficial collaborations between the university and the Lehigh/Berks County communities and beyond. The Community Outreach Center is located in the McFarland Student Union, 281 and offers many volunteer opportunities for one-time volunteers and weekly/monthly volunteers. The center is always looking for students to join any one (or more!) of our various service opportunities. You can also contact us and we can help you find an opportunity that best matches your field of study and/or general interest. Meet the Community Outreach Center’s Staff! ❤️🐻💛

Amanda Garcia ❤️🐻💛

Amanda Garcia is the Associate Director of MSU Operations, Community Outreach Center, and Commuter Students. She supports daily operations, commuter students, and meaningful connections across the campus community.

Madeline Raub - GA ❤️🐻💛

Maddie and Bella are Graduate Assistants who oversee student volunteer programs, coordinate community service opportunities and events, and support student ambassadors and community partners. Maddie also manages the Lutheran Center Food Pantry by coordinating volunteers, overseeing pantry operations, and connecting students with essential resources.

Isabella Kistler - GA ❤️🐻💛

Our Health & Elderly Coordinator, Alison, creates meaningful connections with residents at Saucony Cross Nursing Home through music, game nights, and entertainment. She brings joy, connection, and fun to residents through engaging activities and memorable experiences!

Our Environmental Issues Coordinator, Morgan, leads cleanups, supports local shelters, promotes sustainability, and helps neighbors through Operation Snowflake.

Our Hunger & Homelessness & DEI Coordinator, Nicole, works to support those facing food insecurity and homelessness through food drives, pantry service, community outreach, and advocacy.

Postcard from Nashville, Tennessee🤠

Over spring break, our graduate assistant, Maddie, traveled down to Nashville, Tennessee, with 13 Kutztown students to volunteer in the community. These students spent their week helping at a thrift store, preparing fields for harvest, packaging food boxes for a local food pantry, and working with kids at an after-school program. We are proud of all our students who dedicated their time and break to volunteer and serve a community in need!
