Today, June 5, marks the final student day of the 2025–2026 school year and an early dismissal, too!

As we close another successful year, we want to thank our students, staff, families, and community for making this year one filled with learning, growth, achievements, friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Congratulations to all of our students on a successful year. Whether you're moving up to a new grade, beginning a new chapter, or enjoying a well-deserved summer break, we are proud of all you have accomplished.

🐾 WE ARE 🐾

This past Wednesday, 5th grade students took their learning outside as part of their Camp Cougar experience. Students participated in 3 different stream studies, which were facilitated by professors from Kutztown University. Each stream study helped students determine the overall health of the Saucony Creek.

One stream study involved testing several chemical components of the stream, such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and phosphate levels. At another station, students collected and classified organisms found in the water. Students found several organisms that are sensitive to pollution, which means that the water is healthy. At the final station, students calculated the volume of the creek which involved finding the velocity of the water, measuring the depths in several parts, and calculating the area of segments of the creek.

Thank you Dr. Palkendo, Dr. Sewall, and Dr. Habeck for providing this engaging learning opportunity to students!

The final week of the 2025–2026 school year is here! As we wrap up another amazing year of learning, growth, achievements, and memories, we want to wish all of our students and staff a successful and positive finish.

The KES playground became a Living Wax Museum today!

Third grade students dressed as historical and modern-day figures, and with the press of a button, came to life to share their speeches. We are so proud of the hard work, research, and confidence they displayed.

Thank you to all the families who joined us and helped bring history to life! It was a fantastic day in third grade!

🏆📚We’re proud of our KES Reading Olympians!!

🐢🐾Yesterday, our first grade classes were treated to a special visit from the Wildlands Conservancy and four of their wildlife ambassadors! Students learned the rescue and rehab stories of each animal and the impacts that humans have on animals in our environment. Thanks to Miss Claire for sharing these special animals with us!

🎓💙 Today was a special day at KES as we welcomed back the Class of 2026! 🎓💙

Our seniors walked the halls in their caps and gowns, visiting the classrooms where their journeys first began. This tradition is a full-circle moment filled with pride, memories, and inspiration.

We are so proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see the incredible things your future holds.
