We are thrilled to introduce Tamia Smith, who brings 6 years of experience in education from Allen ISD! Tamia and her husband recently relocated to the area and she knew Krum ISD would be the perfect place to continue her career and contribute to our school community.

Originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, Tamia is passionate about the impact she has on children's lives. "I honestly just love watching them grow and succeed!" she shares.

When she's not at school, Tamia enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and husband, going fishing, and shopping.

This school year, Tamia aims to build strong, trusting relationships with her students while helping them grow in independence, confidence, and everyday life skills. She's excited to be a collaborative team member and make a positive impact by supporting each student's individual needs.

🎉 Welcome to the Krum ISD Family, Victoria Sanchez! 🎉

We are excited to introduce Victoria Sanchez, who is joining us as a first-year teacher! Victoria brings valuable experience working with children through Texas Woman's University, where she recently graduated. She completed her student teaching right here in Krum ISD, giving her hands-on experience in our classrooms.

As a proud Krum ISD graduate herself, Victoria is coming home! "This district has always held a special place in my heart," she shares. "I have always loved the welcoming atmosphere, the supportive staff, and the dedication everyone shows to helping students succeed. I am honored to return to the district that helped shape me and am excited to give back to my community."

Victoria enjoys anything creative or craft-related and uses her artistic talents to make learning fun and engaging for students.

🎉 Welcome to the Krum ISD Family, Randi Hazel! 🎉

We are thrilled to introduce our new middle school math teacher! Randi brings 8 years of teaching experience from Victory Christian Academy, where she taught high school math, and we couldn't be more excited to have her join our team.

Randi chose Krum for its small-town feel and the opportunity to grow alongside our district. "I've worked in giant districts and it just felt so impersonal," she shares. "I hope to get to know everyone at my campus and be able to grow with the district."

When she's not in the classroom, you'll find her spending time with her husband and two boys, hunting, reading, or creating something new.

Her teaching philosophy? Every child should feel worthy. Randi's goal is to ensure every student makes growth by the end of the year.

🌟 Welcome to Krum ISD, Amy Senter!

We're thrilled to welcome Amy Senter to Dodd Elementary as our new Gifted and Talented and Emergent Bilingual Specialist! With 4 years in public education and 15 years creating visual curriculum online for children and adults, Ms. Senter brings creativity, expertise, and a passion for helping students become lifelong learners.

Ms. Senter drawn to this opportunity because it allows her to combine hands-on, visual learning with creativity to inspire young students.

Originally from Northern Virginia, Amy Senter has called Texas home since graduating from Abilene Christian University in 2006.

Ms. Senter believes there is no single way to learn—every student has unique interests and learning styles. She is excited to learn from her Emergent Bilingual students about their cultures and languages while creating a classroom community where differences are celebrated and everyone learns together.

When she's not supporting students, you'll find Amy Senter enjoying movies with her husband, playing board games with her children, snuggling with her cats, or creating art through painting, embroidery, and drawing.

🚧 Parking Lot Progress! 🚧

Crews have officially started pouring concrete for Krum High School's new parking lot, and we’re excited to see this project come to life!

We’re still a few weeks away from completion and being able to put it to use, but we’re getting closer every day! 🙌

Krum ISD is experiencing a wide spread fiber outage that has caused a loss of internet service and campus phone lines are down. We are in the process of activating hotspots to serve phone lines in the main office of each campus. During this outage in the event you need to contact your child's campus please try the main campus number or use the alternate phone numbers provided via ParentSquare alert.
