Last week was a great start to October! 2nd grade students took a field trip to the Farmers Branch Historical Park! PreK students enjoyed a pumpkin themed day complete with a parking lot hay ride. And our kindergartners celebrated the conclusion of their Fairy Tale unit dressing like their favorite fairy tale character.

Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day! 🧹✨

Today, we celebrate the hardworking custodians who help make our campus a clean, safe, welcoming place to learn and work every day.

From the early mornings to the late afternoons, our custodians work behind the scenes to care for our campuses and create an environment where students and staff can thrive. Their dedication, positive attitudes, and commitment to our Bobcat family make a difference every single day.

Thank you to our amazing custodians for all you do for Dodd Elementary! We appreciate you today and every day! 💙

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor heat, nor other weather events can keep this crew from delivering students safely to their cars. We might be soaked to the bone, but we’re certainly grateful for the rain!! ⛈️🚗

Today, we had the privilege of welcoming two of Krum ISDs board members to Dodd as they visited classrooms to see the great learning taking place. They even joined in on the kindergarten brain break as they started their classroom visits! Thank you Nick Vincent and Michael Paul for supporting Krum students and staff!

After learning about the body’s five senses, kindergarten students used their senses in an apple tasting activity. Learning so sweet you can taste it! 🍎🍏
