Both high school forensics classes started their mock crime scenes this week. Students will work to analyze the evidence they collected, interview suspects, and identify the killer of their victim. Each class has different evidence and suspects, so they will be solving two different cases!

Miss Pauer’s forensic science classes went on a field trip on Friday to Purdue University Lafayette to listen to two different presentations given by professors on campus who teach in fields related to forensics. Their first presentation was about cyber security and how online information can be used to identify information about a given individual.

The second presentation was about entomology and how insects can be used to determine time of death. Students then got to visit the department’s bug barn and hold some unique bugs if they were brave enough!
