Congratulations to Caitlyn Samford! Last family and community members came out in support of her Phlebotomy Stick Night. Caitlyn successful co.pleyed her 30 venous and 10 fingersticks . She is eligible to sit for her national Phlebotomy Exam on April 7,2026. We here at Kountze High School are very proud of her hard work and wish her well on her exam.

Time update!!!!!! Those wanting to see out performance should leave Kountze area in next half hour to 45 minutes to make it to East Chamber to enter auditorium on time.

Kountze High School students are getting ready to perform for their 2026 One Act Play competition piece "Peter Pan". Everyone wish them a hearty "Break a leg!" They have worked very hard to prepare for this event. They will be taking the stage between 5 to 5:30pm at East Chambers High school.

Congratulations Daizy Collier! She accomplished 6 Instructor selected draws in a row the made her first successful patient draw. I didnt feel a thing. She will be hosting her stick night from 5:00 pm to 9:00pm here at KHS on April 2, 2026. Her goal is to complete her 29 remaining venous sticks and 10 finger sticks required to sit for her National board test on April 7, 2026.
Please come out and support her to reach her goal.

As an educator one of the things I am most proud of is how my students support each other and cheer each other on. Today after our visit to the National Museum of Funeral History our seniors visited Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services. One of our own Diazy Collier is applying to this Institute to complete her education as a Director of Funeral Services. Students enjoyed a tour of the campus from Mr Issichar Roland, who explained application requirements, course curriculum financial aid and gave a wonderful insight to the world of funeral services and how Commonwealth is educating the next generation of end of life caregivers. We at Kountze High School support and encourage our students to reach for their dreams and are so proud that Daizy has found her pathway in healthcare.

Kountze High School Senior students attended a field trip today to the National Museum of Funeral History. The decent shared the history of right of passage throughout time. Giving insight to our procedures used for government officials, world leaders and papal clergy. Students also learned interesting facts about how the funeral industry has evolved, and the differences in mourning pra times across the world.

Yesterday November 12,2025 Kountze High School HOSA students hosted their second blood drive of the school year. Through the generosity of our students and community members we were able to donate ate 40 units to the LifeShare Blood Center of Southeast Texas. Please consider joining us for our next drive on January 7, 2026 here at KHS, and help our students reach their goal of 201 total donations for the year.
