Today was our school-wide Christmas breakfast. We enjoyed green pancakes, {thanks Mrs. Gena} sausage, {thanks Mrs. Rosie} and lots of goodies, {thanks parents}! We also made Christmas cards for the nursing home.
We want to thank everyone who helped us set up and clean up. We couldn't do this without you!
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to see you in January!

This past week students were able to earn Armor bucks for behavior and good grades. Wednesday they were able to spend their bucks on treats while we watched a Christmas movie. We want to thank Mr. Randy and Mrs. Erin for helping set things up and popping popcorn. We also want to thank Mrs. Kourtney for loaning us her popcorn machine and bringing extra treats.

Christmas is in the air at Armor Academy!
Crazy Sweater Day was a success! Next Thursday will be Crazy Sock Day.
The K-5 class is reading a book called The Christmas Star from Afar. Each day they help the wisemen find the star which is in a different place. It is a joy to watch them help retell the Christmas story each day!

Just a few reminders
Friday December 5th- is the Christmas parade in Kountze. (if you see any teachers in the parade, make sure to say hi!)
Friday December 11th- Crazy Sock Day
Wednesday December 17th- The students can pass out Christmas goodies during snack time. Each child will have a bag or stocking to put their items in.
Thursday December 18th- Our Grinch Christmas Breakfast will be from 8:30-9:30ish. We will be serving pancakes and sausage that morning. We will also have a craft table set up for making Christmas cards for the nursing home. So, parents if you see any cute Christmas stickers, we could use them! A letter went home this week in your child's folder with all the details. It is also Pajama Day, because breakfast is best in pajamas!

Armor Christian Academy will have a kindergarten spot open in a few weeks. If you are looking for a christian school with small class sizes, we would love to have you! We attend in school Tuesday-Thursday 8:00-3:00. Our uniforms are simply navy or maroon collared shirts and khaki bottoms. We have classrooms for Pre-k to 12th grade and are located at Kountze First Baptist. (behind Brookshires)

We would like to thank the Kountze Fire Department for coming to our school on Thursday. We were taught about fire safety and received some neat goodies! We also want to thank Lumberton EMS for telling us about ambulances. It was a fun day of hands-on learning for us!

We were welcomed to school by the President of the United States and Garfield Thursday! We had fun at fall parties and learned about safety from the Lumberton Police Department.

This Thursday we will be busy! At 9:00 we will have the Lumberton Police visit us. They are going to talk about safety. Then at 10:00 we will have the Kountze Fire Department come out and talk about fire safety.
It will also be our Fall Party Day!
At 11:00 Mrs. B's and Mrs. Rene's class will have a Pajama Pizza Party. We have Pizza, Drinks, and cupcakes. If any parents would like to bring chips or treats you are welcome to bring them. We are keeping the theme fall, and trying to stay away from ghost, monsters, or anything scary.
Mrs. Barner's class will have a Pizza Fall Party at 11:00 also.
Parents are invited to all activities, and all students may go home after the parties.

Tacky day was a success!
Today in chapel we learned about Operation Christmas Child from Mrs. Beverly Williford. We will start collecting toys, and clothes next Tuesday. In your child's folder tomorrow there will be more information. If you would like to pack shoeboxes as a family, we have some boxes ready for pick up by the office. Please plan to have all packed shoeboxes back to the school by October 23.

We had a fun and busy week! On Wednesday, our students decided to lead music in chapel. It's such a joy to hear them sing so cheerfully. On Thursday, the Kindergarten class learned about David and Goliath. Our little David's found their Goliath and threw paper rocks and made the giant fall. (A special thanks to Jordan for his portrayal of Goliath.)
