The Hardin County 4-H STEM Clubs were created to give youth the opportunity to learn about STEM opportunities (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through hands-on activities and experiences.

Both of our STEM Clubs Meetings kicked off our year with an awesome Parachute Drop Challenge! Students had to build a parachute using limited supplies that would safely land an egg when dropped. We had a couple cracks and splats, but everyone did amazing and learned a lot!

Did you miss our kick off meeting? No worries, you can come try us out in September!

This Tuesday we kick off the 2026-2027 4-H year for our STEM Clubs! If you've been thinking about checking our clubs out this is your perfect opportunity! We will start with a brief info meeting giving you the low-down on 4-H and our clubs, then we will kick off the fun with a STEM Challenge for the kids! We hope to see you there!

Our STEM Clubs just completed the year with our (belated due to weather in May) camping trip.

Our new year kicks off with our Info Meeting and STEM Challenge next Tuesday! Come check out what we are all about!

Homeschool STEM Club Meeting at 9:00 AM
Evening STEM Club Meeting at 6:30 PM

Both at the 4-H Education Building at 3677 Hwy 326, Kountze, TX

What does camping have to do with STEM? Well our members learned about invasive species and their impact on ecosystems on our hike, teamwork through our paddling trip, leadership in leading the younger kids in games and activities, and overall just had fun.

Our last Summer Robotics Challenge was tonight. Teams built mouse traps using sensors to humanely trap our little furry critter that was in the loose! All the teams did a great job!
