Attala County Library Welcome to YOUR Library! We hope that you will visit your library often and take advantage of the many services designed to meet the needs of all ages.

The Attala County Library provides services to the citizens of Attala County through the Attala County Board of Supervisors and the Kosciusko Mayor and Board of Alderman. Some of the services we provide are:

The Attala County Library offers many programs for children and adults throughout the year. These include story times, summer reading programs, cultural and educational programs, craft and collection displays, and monthly computer classes. The Attala County Library offers Genealogy Services. We have a collection of information on the history of Attala County as well as a family file collection, early Kosciusko and Attala County newspapers, and U.S. Census records of Mississippi. If you have any questions or comments please let us know. We want your library experience to be pleasant and productive!

Last Friday, we had the honor of celebrating Ann Breedlove and her incredible 29 years of service as the Attala County Genealogy Librarian! ❤️

For nearly three decades, Ann has helped countless people uncover their family histories, reconnect with their roots, and discover the stories that make Attala County so special.

We are incredibly grateful for the knowledge, kindness, humor, and dedication Ann has shared with our library and community over the years. Her impact will be felt for generations to come.

Happy retirement, Ann! Thank you for 29 wonderful years of memories, laughter, and service. You will be greatly missed! ❤️

🧈✨ We made BUTTER!! ✨🧈

Our Homesteading Program was an absolute blast! Everyone got to roll up their sleeves (and put those arm muscles to work 😂) making their very own homemade butter! We mixed in flavors like cocoa powder, cinnamon, chili flakes, garlic, and more to create our own delicious combinations! 😋

Thank you to everyone who came out and got a little taste of homesteading with us!

There’s a lot happening at the library this week, with something for every age and interest.

Monday kicks things off with our Teen Advisory Board, giving local teens a chance to share their ideas and help shape future library activities.

Tuesday is Women’s Fitness, a great opportunity to get moving and spend some time with others in the community.

Wednesday brings Youth Collective, offering our young patrons a chance to connect, participate, and have some fun.

Thursday is a busy one! Toddlers take over the library Thursday morning, followed by Family Bingo that evening. Bring the family and join us for a fun night together.

On Friday, we’ll be celebrating Ann Breedlove as she begins her retirement. Please stop by for Ann’s retirement party and help us wish her all the best as she starts this exciting new chapter.

With a full week of programs, activities, and opportunities to connect, there’s plenty of reason to stop by the library. We hope to see you soon!
