Kong village: In the event that bad weather turns off your heat this winter (lost heat for more than six hours 0-32 degrees) or (lost heat for more than four hours in negative temps) or your home cannot withstand wind pressure or your home is leaking due to harsh storms, the school will be available for safety and heat as often as possible.

It is NEVER recommended to travel to the school during a storm (make safe choices).

Check Facebook when possible for updates.

If you need to stay at the school:
1- no children without adults (there is no staff to supervise children)
2- bring blankets to sleep on
3- bring food that does not need to be cooked (for when electric is out and the microwave is not available)
4- bring your water bottle
5- no drugs or alcohol or coming intoxicated or feeling high; no to***co products are allowed on school grounds
6- clean up after yourself and family; garbage needs to go in bags.

You can message or call the principal if you are not sure. An adult from your home can call the school for the principal’s phone number (no students). It is important to make sure the school is unlocked before traveling. If a bad storm hits, the principal is not always able to travel from housing to the school. We need to coordinate. Also, listen for radio announcements when possible.

The school doors will be locked at 6 pm. The Eye Guys are not accepting new patients unless they call you because you already turned in paperwork.

The Eye Guys are seeing students on Tuesday, Sept. 22 (for those who brought a form).
Adults can get in line at 4:00. They will see patients until 7:00pm on Tuesday night.
We will follow up here if there are any changes.
Have your insurance card ready!

Saturday: we have NMS (food supplies) and new furniture at the airport. I need help picking it up and bringing it to the school. Furniture needs to go into the lobby and the food through the gym door to the kitchen.

K-5 will have their TimeOut Tuesday on Tuesday, September 29 for 90% Attendance and no office referrals! (6-12 will get to join them if they meet the Attendance Challenge).

Have you applied for a position at the school? Full-time or substitute? The principal is doing open interviews on Monday, September 21 from 9:30-3:30 and making appointments for 4-5. If you put in an application and you are willing to come and wait for an opening to talk, I would love to speak with you.
1-Must be 18+
2- Must be a high graduate or GED diploma holder
3-Must be able to pass a background check
4-Must be kind but firm with children and LIKE to work with children

Doors open at 8:15
Breakfast is served 8:25-8:55
Class starts at 8:55
School is released at 4:00

NEXT Thursday, September 24 is our Title One Open House Parent and Community Night starting at 5:00.
Refreshments will be served and we have door prizes!
Everyone is the community is invited, students should have at least one person from their household attend with them.
