Continuing on our investigation of Kauai community helpers at the Coast Guard Station in Lihue. The kids had so much fun exploring the rescue boat, practicing their fire hose skills, throwing rescue line and learning all about the dispatch center. Thank you for having us!!

We had so much fun learning about community helpers today. Thank you to the Koloa Fire Station and AMR for making the visit so exciting! It’s important for the kids to know who to call and how to get help in an emergency. Showing the kids what a fire fighter will look like if they ever saw one in an emergency was so great in preparing the children.
