Snacks with new friends at KACC Summer Camp.

Last day for Summer Camp. Students prepared homemade pizza dough for their own pizzas! 🍕 They also learned about cosmetology. Thank you Ace Bell, recent grad and licensed cosmetologist for helping out today.

Today our campers learned about veterinary science and entrepreneurship. They had hands-on experience in learning anatomy and some medical practice during their time in veterinary. In entrepreneurship they did some team- building activities and learned how to screen print their camp t-shirts.

Today our campers are gaining insight into the field of Agriculture and the various skills and opportunities it encompasses. They selected either vegetable or flower seeds and planted them in a biodegradable pot. They also acquired carpentry skills by measuring the size of the boards required, cutting the boards with a saw, and utilizing a nail gun to assemble the pieces and construct window boxes.

Summer Camp day 2 is Welding and Video Production. In Welding students observed the plasma cutter in action, then used a grinder to smooth down their pieces before powder coating them. Students created stop-motion videos in Video Production.
