Architecture Design and Principles of Engineering students are working on their projects today. POE students are studying simple machines and are creating a lever, pulley, inclined plane, wheel & axle and screw. Our second year Architecture student is building a model of Notre Dame.

Students are completing their safety tests and getting into the labs. Culinary Arts Baking students are preparing biscuits and gravy and first year Welding students are learning equipment.

Students are in labs and are busy. Hands-on activities are our favorite ways to learn!

Community Help Needed

We are looking for a little help from our local farming community. Our Agriculture program grows Timothy hay each year for the rabbits, guinea pigs, and other hay-eating animals in our classroom.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a mini square baler, which makes it difficult to properly package and store the hay. Last year, much of it spoiled before we could use it, and we’d love to prevent that from happening again.

We’re hoping someone with a mini square baler would be willing to help us bale our Timothy hay. It’s a very small plot, only about ¼ acre, so it would be a quick job.

We can cut the hay, load the bales, and take care of everything else. We simply need someone who can bring a mini square baler and bale it for us.
