1: break the grip, off center your opponent
2: get out to the side using your leg on his hip
3: get both hooks in and flatten out your opponent

We start every class with some warm up drills, one of them being the bear crawl. Like every warm up, the move is a very important base for a self defense move.

Bear crawl is a perfect example of how you can defend yourself when someone is on your back. We covered 3 variations :

Basic bear crawl
Modified base bear crawl
Forward roll bear crawl

These are all perfect examples of how a simple warm up drill can turn into a self defense move.

If you are wanting to try Jiu-Jitsu, we'd love to have you stop by.
