To kick off the event, the Kokomo Humane Society will NOT open at the regular 12 PM time on Friday.
Instead, we will open at 4 PM on Friday, June 19 and remain open continuously through 4 PM on Saturday, June 20.

A few months ago, Captain Tye Darlin received the news that no one wants to hear. He was informed that he had stage 3 cancer.

Captain Darlin has been undergoing intensive cancer treatments since that time. Throughout his treatment, Captain Darlin has continued to work and serve the citizens of Kokomo.

On June 26, the Kokomo FOP Lodge 78 will be hosting a fish fry for Tye. All of the proceeds will go to Tye and his family to assist them during this difficult time. This event is open to the public.

We would like to invite everyone to come out, enjoy some great food, and support Tye and his family!

We hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Did you all do okay with that nasty weather yesterday? Holy 🐮. Kokomo seems to always be affected by the straight line winds and 🌪️. We are thinking of those who didn’t fare as well. Sendings lots of love and strength as many people begin to sort through the damage.

Please continue to share our momma Stevie. We don’t quite understand a lot of things. And her not being adopted yet is definitely one of those things! She deserves a home. She is going to make a fantastic soulmate to someone who takes a chance on her. We promise you won’t regret that decision. ❤️🐾

But not her. She’s been stuck in a cage for nearly a month. She deserves a couch, a lap, and someone’s comfy arms to snuggle up. We know she’s an adult. We know she doesn’t have the unique color pattern, or fancy long hair. But what she does have is a big heart. She was a mommy! The best mommy. She gave her all to those sweet babies and nearly starved to death doing so. Please share our sweet kitty.
