Our first-year Vet Science students worked on understanding how important marketing strategies are when promoting a quality dog food. The packaging and branding can be nearly as important as the nutritional value when it comes to attracting consumers. They put a lot of thought and creativity into these, and they did a great job! ❤️🐾

Have you heard?! Our students learned a little anatomy, restraint, ear cleaning, and how to complete an ear cytology. Thanks to Otis and Beatrix for being the best patients. Our students obtained ear samples from the dogs, completed the steps to an ear cytology, and learned the proper way to clean dog’s ear using veterinary approved ear cleaner.

The kittens weren’t too sure about the dogs. They steered clear and hung out on Ms. J’s desk. 😅❤️🐾

Meet Poppy & Eugene, the cutest little potato-shaped pair you ever did see. These two are bonded and looking for a home together. Poppy is spayed, Eugene is neutered, and both are incredibly social, friendly, and absolutely adorable.

And those little piggie feet? I mean. Come on!

El Jefe is looking a little different this week!

He’s in the middle of a shed, and those dull, patchy areas are the first thing our students noticed. This is one of those everyday animal-care experiences that makes having live animals in our classroom so valuable. Our students get to see firsthand what they’ve been learning about reptile anatomy, husbandry, growth and normal behavior.

Don’t worry. It’s totally normal and a sign of great health! We give him warm baths to hell loosen the scales. Plus, provide him with different textures so he can rub his itchy skin!

Do you remember ever making tie fleece blankets? Well, we use those fleece blankets for our guinea pig and rat enclosures. Our animals really love them. We could use more anti- pill fabric to create some newer blankets. We try and grab the fabric when the deals are good!
