🌟 What an incredible week at the KACC Summer Exploration Camp! 🌟

From sparks flying in Welding 🔥 to creativity shining in Cosmetology 💇‍♀️, from building skills in Construction 🏗️ to caring for animals in Veterinary Science 🐾, our students had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of exciting career pathways and hands-on experiences!

These photos capture the curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm of our future leaders as they stepped outside their comfort zones, learned new skills, and discovered possible careers they may one day pursue. Whether they were operating tools, practicing professional techniques, learning medical skills, or exploring technical trades, every student embraced the experience with energy and excitement.

A huge thank you to the instructors, staff, and volunteers who made this week possible and gave our students a glimpse into the many opportunities available at the Kokomo Area Career Center. Most importantly, thank you to our amazing campers for bringing such positive attitudes and a willingness to learn!

Mrs. Alava’s IB Seminar students went ALL OUT representing Italy during the Central Olympic Games! From diving deep into research and culture to creating authentic experiences, these students truly brought Italy to life.

A special thank you to the amazing family members who donated supplies, shared their time, and even joined us to teach students how to make homemade pizza from scratch! ❤️ Your support helped transform learning into an unforgettable experience.

🏅🌎 The Opening Ceremony set the stage, but the competition is where our countries truly came to life! 🌟🔥

Over two exciting days, each host country/class battled for Olympic glory through challenges like 🇪🇸 Spanish Trivia, 🔐 Escape Rooms, 🥎 Kickball, 🏃 Relay Races, and 💪 Tug of War—all while earning points toward the ultimate prize: Olympic bragging rights and the coveted trophy! 🏆

The competition was fierce, the energy was electric ⚡, and our WildKats gave it their all! From teamwork 🤝 and perseverance 💯 to sportsmanship 👏 and school pride ❤️💙, students showcased what it means to compete with character while representing their countries with pride.

🌭🍔 The fun didn’t stop with the games! Students also enjoyed a picnic-style lunch made possible by our amazing cafeteria staff. A special thank you to Mr. Hampton and Mr. Smith for firing up the grill and serving cheeseburgers and hot dogs to help make the day even more memorable! 👏🔥

At Central, events like our Olympics are about more than winning. They build connections, create memories, inspire leadership, and strengthen the positive climate and culture that make our school special. 🌟

🌎🏅 What an incredible two days at our annual Central Olympics! 🏅🌎

Last Wednesday and Thursday, our WildKats proudly represented countries from around the world after researching their assigned nation and preparing for two days of Olympic competition. The Opening Ceremony was filled with energy, creativity, and pride as every country made its entrance!

This year’s event also celebrated the cultures of our district’s international students, as classes researched and represented the countries they call home. 🌍✨

With the championship trophy returned by Mr. Serra’s class, the competition was on as countries battled for this year’s bragging rights! 🏆🔥

At Central, we love friendly competition, but what makes this event special is how it brings us together. We celebrate cultures, learn from one another, and prove that while we compete as countries, we are always one WildKat family. ❤️💙🐾

Our third-year WildKats are leaving a lasting legacy! This week we proudly celebrated our 8th grade students for their classroom awards and IB Learner Profile recognitions as they prepare for their next chapter.

Over the past three years, these students have grown into confident communicators, principled leaders, caring classmates, and determined learners. A special congratulations to Kyle Sherwood for earning the Darrel Hodson Award for Most Academic Growth, showcasing the dedication and resilience that define WildKat excellence.

Their hard work, resilience, and commitment to excellence have helped shape the culture of our school, and we could not be prouder of everything they have accomplished. Congratulations to the Class of 2030 — your WildKat family is cheering you on every step of the way! 🎉📚
