🏆Congrats KHS Unified Tack and Field Kats on your award and your historic season! This spring, our KHS Unified Track Team went all the way to the IHSAA State Finals, earning an incredible 5th place finish!
For those who may not be familiar with how Unified Sports work, Unified Track & Field is an officially recognized IHSAA sport. It brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team, competing side-by-side in a variety of track and field events. Every single athlete scores points for the team, and the focus is on teamwork, shared achievement, and true sportsmanship in competition. 🔴🔵
When you watch this team, it’s not just individuals out there running their own race. There is a collective drive, and it’s this exact momentum that earned a Top-5 State Finish.
This team continues to show everyone what happens when athletes genuinely celebrate each other's success and help each other across the finish line.
Congratulations Wildkats on an unforgettable, podium-finishing season!

This is what it’s all about. Seeing the contagious smiles and big energy on the faces of these young athletes is exactly why we love hosting our KATS youth sports camps.
Standing on the giant Wildkat logo holding up those certificates, you can just see how proud they are of themselves —and each other. They may look little next to our high school athletes, but they are already playing with big heart, paws-itive hustle, and an undeniable Wildkat team spirit. The future of Kokomo Lady Kat basketball is looking incredibly bright!🐾✨
😺There is nothing quite like the energy in Memorial Gym when it’s filled with our youngest athletes. This week, these Lady Kats had a blast practicing their dribbling and shooting, making new friends, and learning directly from our KHS athletes and coaches.
The fun is just getting started, too. We have a whole lineup of KATS youth sports camps running throughout the summer. It’s the perfect way to keep kids active, as they learn and have fun.

🇫🇷✈️ 🇺🇸Our KHS exchange travelers are officially home from France, settling back into the familiar rhythm of Indiana life with suitcases full of memories!
Now that they are back, we are excited to share this journey directly through their eyes—starting with a breathtaking excursion to the northern coast of France, where the students explored the historic walled port city of Saint-Malo and the iconic island castle of Mont Saint-Michel.
Perched right on the English Channel, this region is a landscape of dramatic ocean tides, massive granite ramparts, and a wild history. Walking the ancient fortress walls of Saint-Malo and looking out toward the island gave our Wildkats a chance to truly absorb the history of where they were standing.
“The salty air and whitecap waves of Saint-Malo gave me a quiet moment to reflect. Standing here, a high schooler from Kokomo in France, I felt the incredible reality of this journey and the space to truly process it all. Seeing Mont Saint-Michel in person was unreal; the unique architecture has so much rich history as an ancient pilgrimage site, a fortress, and even a prison. Experiencing the dramatic tides that can temporarily turn it completely into an island made me realize how incredible this opportunity really is."
— Avery, KHS Student Perspective
“Walking along the top of the ramparts was a good experience because the strong wind from the English Channel was blowing all around us. On one side, I could hear the waves crashing against the rocks, and on the other, I could see all of the old buildings and slim streets below. Inside the walls, there were lots of cute little shops, cafés, and bakeries... Learning that Saint-Malo was once home to privateers (which I learned was another name for pirates) made the experience even more interesting!" 🏴☠️

🤫 Nothing to see here...👀 We’ve noticed some major stadiums are covering up logos to keep things "completely anonymous." So, we decided to try it out.
It turns out that when your logo is a razor-sharp, roaring Wildkat bursting with energy, a tarp doesn't do a whole lot to hide it💥😺
Honestly, that's exactly the kind of uncontainable spirit we are bringing to our KATS Youth Sports Camps this summer!
We’ve tried to keep the excitement under wraps, but looks like the Kat is out of the bag (well, almost), so don’t wait!
Secure your spot today: Sign up and Play the Wildkat Way!

P.S. Hey Levi's, we could use some gear and you could use some visibility. We wouldn't cover you up—because like quality, LEGACY never goes out of style! 🤝👖🫶
