🐝 Working Hard + Having Fun! 🎣

Last Friday, our Hornets were working hard while sneaking in a little fun with a few games of Go Fish! 🎣💛

There’s something pretty great about seeing students practicing important skills, learning alongside their classmates, and having so much fun that it hardly feels like work. Lots of smiles, lots of thinking, and lots of learning happening around those tables!

Learning is always better when we can make it fun! 🐝🖤💛

Our shoe drive has been such a success! There are still a few sizes needed (see flyer), but we wanted to share our appreciation to everyone coming together to support our Howard Hornets! 💛🐝

This is what we want school to feel like. 💛🐝

A place where kids love learning, where they can explore, play, practice, ask questions, make mistakes, laugh with their friends, and be proud of what they are figuring out.

But just as importantly, we want Howard to be a place where kids know they are loved.

Known by name.
Welcomed with a smile.
Encouraged when things are hard.
Celebrated for who they are.
Surrounded by adults who genuinely enjoy being part of their lives.

Because some of the most important things children learn at school will never appear on a test.

We want our Hornets to leave us knowing they can do hard things, learning can be joyful, and there are people in this building who believe in them.

Learning matters. Relationships matter. Kids deserve both. 💛🖤

Third grade has been busy learning about animals, life cycles, and metamorphosis, and today they got to see their learning come to life!

After watching the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly, it was finally time to say goodbye and release Bob the Butterfly into the world. 💛🖤

There’s something pretty special about learning science from a book—and then getting to watch it happen right in front of you!
