A Formal Farewell from the Founders of Balloon Training Institute®

In 2014, we launched Balloon Training Institute® with a simple but powerful goal: to elevate the art of balloon decorating through structured education, professional standards, and hands-on training. What began as a vision quickly grew into something far greater than we could have imagined.

Over the years, we had the privilege of training more than 800 students in intensive week-long in-person classes, along with thousands more through online programs and educational materials. Together, we built a community of passionate balloon artists, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals who helped shape the modern balloon industry.

Teaching and mentoring so many talented people has been one of the most meaningful chapters of our professional lives.

A few years ago, we made the decision to pass the legacy of Balloon Training Institute® to a new steward with the hope that the program would continue to grow and serve future generations of balloon professionals. Unfortunately, that transition did not ultimately develop in the way we had envisioned or hoped.

In addition, we have become aware that elements of our curriculum and educational materials have recently been circulated and distributed without our authorization. The Balloon Training Institute® curriculum, training systems, and educational materials were created and developed by us and remain our intellectual property.

After careful reflection, Billy and I have made the decision to formally step away from teaching balloon training and retire the Balloon Training Institute® program.

This decision comes with mixed emotions. While it is difficult to close such an important chapter, we feel proud of the legacy that was built over the past decade. The knowledge shared, the businesses launched, and the friendships formed through this program will always remain the true success of Balloon Training Institute®.

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to every student who trusted us with their education, every industry friend who supported our mission, and every creative professional who helped grow this community.

Your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication made the journey worthwhile.

While Balloon Training Institute® will no longer be offering training programs, the impact of the thousands of balloon professionals who learned through our program will continue to shape the industry for years to come.
